I quit about 9 years ago. It was about the 11th serious attempt so I know how hard it is to give up, but it is soooo worth it! We now don't have any friends or family that do either & I think that helps with staying away.

I also quit 9 years ago, it took me two years from the date I first tried to the date I last smoked. It is so fricking hard! It definitely helps not being surrounded by smokers. Quitting is one of my proudest accomplishments. I still sometimes dream I've started again, in my dreams I'm very upset with myself cos I have to go thru the whole quitting thing again. Love waking up from those dreams :-)

No, and it's one of those things that frustrates me. One, because it drains our public health system that is already struggling, and two, because I breathe in second hand smoke every single day and I hate it (I work in the city so it's fairly impossible for me to work to work without going past at least a few smokers)

I understand it's an addiction and it's very hard to quit. I just hope they're banned some day.

Reformed smoker. I smoked on and off for 13 years but I have been smober for 11.5 years.

I can't stand the smell. I am very sensitive to 'unnatural' smells and inhaling second hand smoke can make me cough to the point of dry reaching

I smoke quit when we decided to have a baby and took it back up a few months after DD was born, never ever indoors( even before DD was born ) never around children, or when visiting ppl who don't smoke and never in the car( even before DD ) I will throw them away soon I think but I still really love it!!
