    Thanks so much Zak.

Anyone else been given progynova in the TWW? I always thought it was usually given in the first half of a cycle, but the FN says I will get progynova and pessaries this time. I know the progynova is probably for my lining; it was only 7.64mm at my scan on Wed.

I hate how long they make you sit around in hospital after EPU. I am so ready to go home, but won't happen for a while yet. *sigh*

And K'iesha, I offer you some Maccas vouchers and a cask of goon so you can have a posh night out with your fave bull, please give me lots of embies in return. You big fat bogan.
Yay on the 10 eggs! Fingers crossed the sperm does their job xo

Sariele - 10, nice work incubating
    That is great numbers!

And yep Ive had progynova and crinone one cycle - cause we got over 10 eggs (had 12, 10 seems to be the cut off). It was fine. I was quite teary and tired really. And a bit hormonally cranky. But just a bit like an extension of the effects of the drugs really. DH said I was a bit interesting at times. I keep saying I am going to kick **** at this menopause thing when it happens...in the very long, long future!!!

Nice one hun, so happy for you

That's fantastic hun, congratulations...so excited for you! Will keep everything crossed.

I had my scan on Wednesday 6w5d and there was a heartbeat so things are looking a lot better than a week or two ago. First antenatal appointment in 3 weeks.

Mam83 hun, I am very sorry. That happened to me too, as I think I said before.
Hun can you tell me what dose of FSH you were on?
Dont be too disheatened - and I know that is easier said than done bc we all get really invested and the hormones make us that way - but remember, its all a bit of a science experiment.

    How's your DP going??
Can someone help me with this? I mainly use bubhub on phone and it's annoying to find a particular page.

DP is going well, we are keeping busy so not to over-think symptoms but she is getting forgetful and feeling really tired

I feel a little disappointed that I have so few because I just don't know how long it will be before I can afford another go at this!I have ET tomorrow so I guess I will just have to cross my fingers that I wont need to worry about trying again and that I will fall first IVF/ICSI attempt. From what I have been reading through all these posts and threads, there are VERY VERY FEW BFP's onthe first go. Just feeling really disheartened and slightly depressed actually .....I feel like my body has let me down up til this point
lilbabysteps hun. We all know that feeling of thinking the body has let you down. It hasnt. 9 eggs is a great number and it really is all about quality and not quantity. The other thing to remember with ivf and this is the hard bit for many is that it just doesnt work for some people first go, so it should be seen as a bit of a course of steps. First cycle is an experiement to see how you respond to drugs etc. Fertilisation is also dependent on quality of sperm (which if provided by a clinic should be good - and about 60% is "mormal" with ICSI) and the stim protocol affects eggs. So maybe the dose for you wasnt quite right - too high or too low. Either can affect quality and too low can affect numbers. Does that make sense, sorry brain not good today. In my case it seems that my eggs need cooking for longer and I take quite a dose of FSH to respond (300iu) so I need to be "managed" in a particular way. My eggs are kept in me longer and then also matured in the dish for a while too. Last cycle that got our fert rate to 100% (we also used better sperm from DH), up from 50% fert with more eggs the cycle before. Its all experimentation. I know you wont want to hear this but its taken four cycles to learn all of this for us And each one its hard not to get too invested

I know the cost thing hurts. Sorry, that bit sucks **** too. Cycles do get a bit cheaper the more you do. But are still expensive.

Now back to the reality...4 are still in the game! It only takes one to get there and to take...
FX here for you lovely ladies!!

    xx

angel - that is amazing news hun.

AFM: They thawed all four remaining straws of sperm and found one. One single motile sperm. So one of my eggs has been ICSI'd and if it fertilises I will have yet another zygote transfer tomorrow. My other five mature eggs will be vitrified.

DH is going to try calling Qantas to move my flight to tomorrow night. Not holding my breath.

Oh Hun I am so so sorry *hugs* nothing I say can make this better but I truly understand, as you know we had to resort to donor sperm.

I hope and pray for you that you get one lovely little emby tomorrow. If you want to chat you know where to find me xx
