Default Any approach to high FSH?

I am 37 years old but has very high FSH. We tried IVF thrice but without success as there isn't enough eggs to retrieve. Is there anyone who knows of any approach such as diet/ acupuncture/ naturopathy that works?

    Hi there,

Sorry to hear you have high fsh.. What is your level each month on day 2? Any other day it won't give you an accurate reading..

I did acupuncture and it does the trick! Mine was around 11.4 and now sits comfortably at 5 each month no problems..

I know it's a kick in the guts for you, I still freak out each blood test before a cycle!

    Wishing you all the best!

Good to hear that acupuncture works for you. Do you have any recommended acupuncturists in Melb?

Wheatgrass is apparently supposed to help with lowering FSH also.

No sorry I lived on the gold coast when I was cycling.. I'm sure there are a few good ones.. Search for one that specializes in ivf..

Peonies- wow didn't know that at all about wheatgrass! I've been taking it for a month now and I'm still not liking it!! Haha.

It's just something I read somewhere Jesse - not sure if it's true. It didn't make a difference on mine anyway - after 2 months taking it, turned out my FSH was almost exactly the same this time as 4 months prior. But then mine is not high really. It's about 7, and I'm 37 - so there probably isn't too far it can come down. I took wheatgrass in tablet form. It has lots of other good things too. Sorry, can't recommend acupuncture in Melb - I'm in Sydney.

Thanks ladies! My FSH is so high that I have one FS who told me straight away he can't help. It ranges from 15 to 30.

    Hopefully, wheatgrass and acupuncture helps!

Cucuee - My FSH level is 37 (was 60 when originally reffered to IVF Australia) The doctor we met said that because I was so young (30) there was a possibility that my ovaries were on holidays and the only way to find out if I had any eggs left was to do a cycle of IVF and see if anything happens. I am into day 4 of 450 UI of Puragon daily. I have a blood test on Monday to see if anything is happening.

Hi Cucueee, I posted on another thread for Button about the use of DHEA. If you google "DHEA lowers FSH" you'll find lots of info . Not sure if you were after just natural remedies but thought I'd put it out there!

    Good luck

    Wish
