    Default Engaged?

Im 33wks on Saturday. Yesterday I visited my mw, she noticed that the baby is sitting quite low for the amount of weeks that I am so I am scheduled to have an ultrasound in 2 weeks. I also have braxton hicks it started a week or two ago and for the past 3 mornings I have woken up to minor period type pain, I would give it a 3/10.

Im soon to find out if our baby is engaged once we do the ultrasound.

Have you or any one you know experienced anything like this? If so did the baby arrive early or was it on due date time?

I dont know whether to start preparing the hospital bag or not..

    Default Engaged?

I too am carrying low, have been for a while now and am 32 weeks. At my 30 week OB app I was told bub was way down in pelvis but not "engaged". You should be having fortnightly checkups. Braxton hicks are fine to have the period pain not so much. I am currently having those as well and this week at my 32 week OB check up he had a good feel of tummy (head still down but can be moved) which means not engaged but he then did an internal with the ultrasound wand to check the cervix. Mine is softening but the length is still 3cm which is a good thing. OB thinks the pains are related to my pelvis trouble (too much relaxin making it fall apart) I was given a support band to hold it together but told if the pains frequency increases or the amount of pain I'm to go and see the hosp just incase. Just try and rest more if possible and if ur stressed make an app to see someone to put ur mind at ease. Anxious mum = anxious baby
I have started packing my hospital bag too just incase.
Hope it all goes well for u

    Default Engaged?

My first engaged at around 33 weeks, he was induced 12 days late

Unfortunately it isn't an indication that delivery will be early.

    Default Engaged?

First babies often engage really early... Subsequent babies often don't engage until labour starts. Good luck, I hope all goes well
