    Default Nappy cake?

I am going to a baby shower on Saturday for a Good friend.
My question is, would you like a nappy cake if it was your baby shower?
So far I have got infant buggies boys nappies, and a 500ml johnsons baby bedtime bath, I will be buying some crash powder and bonjella, do you think that is enough? I had two baby showers and I got too many clothes! Lol also planning on putting in a blue polar fleece blanket round the bottom layer?
Would you like that as a gift? What else would you put in/ take out?
Would you just like it in a box instead of like a cake?

    Default Nappy cake?

I got a nappy cake at my baby shower and loved it. It was so pretty I was sad at wrecking it

No, sorry. The bonjela would potentially be old by the time bub got teeth, I hate j&j products and fleece blankets dont breath. I didnt get many clothes and would have loved some more everyday clothes such as size 0 one pieces but thats just me.

    Default Nappy cake?

I got a nappy cake for DS1 and threw out most of it. He grew out of the newborn nappies within 2 weeks & we'd already stocked up. We also had J&J products in ours but I don't use J&J baby products. It also had a wrap but it was an el cheapo & far too small. I used it as a spew rag.

With DS2 I was given a nappy bouquet. We use cloth now which made the bulk of it redundant. It had a bib, a singlet & another el cheapo wrap which was too small. The bib & singlet get used.

Clearly I'm not a fan LOL.

Agree with the no J&J. I got given so much of that stuff and its just sitting there as I refuse to use it.

Facecloths & hooded towels are good....

    Default Nappy cake?

I hve made a couple of nappy cakes and friends loved them! I used muslin wraps or flannel wraps around each tier with nice ribbon. I added bibs, dummies, bottles, booties for on the top and a nice big toy or something to place at the siDe. I only used wipes or lotion as a good stabilizer for in the centre. Goo luck! They're fun to make and I'm sure your friend will b happy with your efforts

I think they are cute but have never received one so don't know how useful they would be.

However I have a question, why does everyone above not use j&j stuff?

Unethical, use products that are harsh on baby's skin etc etc.

I got given some samples of dirty baby at the last Mod Con, and I LOVE their stuff. I buy it for all baby presents and the parents flip out over it and always ask where they can buy it. Perhaps for a nice gift go to the extra effort of ordering Dirty Baby?
