I didn't take my tragus out until a few months ago, and I got it done in 06. It was cross threaded.

You have to take your tongue out in case something goes wrong and they need to intubate you, a tongue ring would get in the way.

I never took my eyebrow ring out, but it grew out. Twice. After the second attempt and it growing out, I didn't bother again. My body obviously didn't like it and rejected it quite quickly. It grew out on its own after less than 2 years. The second one grew out within months.

My DH had that problem too. I however had it grow out slightly years ago then it just stopped. I've heard eyebrows are notorious for rejecting and growing out.

I've never once taken out my 5 earrings in the 7 years I've had them. I used to have my eyebrow pierced but it started growing out so I took it out. Have an annoying scar now.
