    Default Where do we start?

    Hi ladies,
I hope I'm posting in the right section, I'm just after some advice as to where I begin in regards to doing egg donation in South Africa. What's sites do I refer to? Do I organise this through my clinic? Does all the communication happen via email? How long does the process take? Any advice and help is appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Capri,

There is a separate thread for egg donation in South Africa, please come on over there is heaps of information there and the girls are lovely.

I have just come back and received a BFP yesterday (early days still so fingers and toes crossed). I went through Cape Fertility Clinic in Cape Town. All communication was initially through email and they will allocate you a Dr unless you pick one you want and you can communicate directly with them. The whole process takes about 8 weeks after you pick your donor. The clinic will give you a list of donor agencies and you pick your donor from there. I would advise looking for a young donor. All medications etc can be ordered through the international chemist although my clinic let me buy it through them. Any other questions I'll be happy to answer and the other girls have a wealth of information too.

    xx
