Clicking hip?

Hi I have a 3 month old DD. I noticed tonight inthe bath her right hip is clicking? Is this normal? She has also been inconsolable tonight unsure if it's related?? She is not usually a cryer but she has hysterically cried for the last 5 hours... She only really stopped for about 30/40 minutes when I had a bath with her...

Take her to your GP asap, they will be able to feel if there is a click or if the hip is able to be dislocated. If they feel something they should organise an ultrasound and based on that possibly a follow up ultrasound or an appointment with an orthopaedic dr. Important to get it sorted though as an unresolved hip issue can lead to lots of problems in the future. Good luck! Hopefully it is nothing

Get here checked for hip dysplasia straight away, they earlier it is picked up, the earlier it is to treat. My DD was only diagnosed at 16 months when she started walking (she never clicked) and now needs surgery and 3 months in a cast
