14mth old and Newborn in the same room?

Anyone out there sleep their little ones in the same room successfully? Do they wake each other? Does the older one wake when you go in to feed/change baby? 14mth old will still be in a cot so can't get to baby to poke/harass him.

Can this work? I know separate rooms would be better but I have issues with the layout of my house. Could convert a very small study to a bedroom for baby.

Please share your experiences?

Newborn in your room for a few months until they are past the three hourly feeds?

We had a similar problem with two little ones having to share. We bought a bassinet and kept newborn in with us for a couple of months... We are still having issues now with them, and they are 3 and bub just turned 1. Bub has never been a good sleeper and is always waking up older son... We often have to let our 3 year old sleep with us because they wake each other up. But as I said our youngest is a terrible sleeper, and our 3 year old is a light sleeper, so this why it hasn't worked out well for us. hopefully both yours will sleep through...
