Yellow gold. Silver or white gold looks terrible on my skin. I have a 21ct gold necklace which is pretty rare, 1980's Asian gold. Whenever I go to a jeweller they always ask to look at it.

    Hmmmm I'm confused.
my white gold rings seem to turn yellowish, so I get them "re-dipped" every few years. If they are white gold underneath why do they get a yellow tinge?

Just asked dh and he reckons that if its turning yellow then it might be yellow gold underneath with rhodium plating?? Not white gold underneath.

When you buy silver or white gold jewellery, a lot of the time it's plated with rhodium to make it look shinier. So what people are looking at isnt silver or white gold. So the silver and white gold content is underneath
