Default Tell me I'm not an awful parent!

I didn't realise my DD wasn't strapped in to her pram (my Mum put her in) and as we were walking up some stairs we lifted the pram and she slipped out and hit her head on a step.. We took her to the ED who checked her over and she is fine.. It happened 5 days ago. I KNOW accidents happen but I feel AWFUL. I feel so guilty, and can't stop thinking about it, I feel so negligent. Has anyone else done something similar? Tell me I'm not the only one!

There were 11 replys to this, this morning. Maybe thread has been posted twice?

Youre not awful OP, everyone makes mistakes. DH accidentally drove off with DS not strapped in the car seat, thankfully we noticed immediately and pulled over to fix it.

you are not awful!! I have done something similar though when DS was about 8 weeks old. I had a travel system pram, DS was sleeping in the bassinette, i thought i had clicked it back in the pram and turned to open the car door, the bassinette slid forward to the ground and DS went flying into the hood of the bassinette. I felt so awful, i started crying. What made it worst was that a bunch of people were walking past when it happened my bestie was there to comfort me while i hugged and soothed DS..... but ..... it never happened again after that, it definitely makes you more aware!!

Hi Nowhere, this thread is actually a double up. The other thread does have replies I'll close this one for now.
    Cheers
