Don't be too hard in yourself, it is an awful thing to have happen but it was an accident. I think sometimes having an extra adult around and helping means that we think things have been done so we don't check. Hope you mum is feeling ok too.

Dont feel bad!! We have all done something similar.

4 weeks ago I gave my ds a 1.5 cm long x .5 cm deep gash on his forehead!! He had just got out of the bath and we like to play dress up in the towel before putting our pj's on... Well bright spark mummy decided to roll him up like a worm, with his arms firmly strapped under the towel. He tried to take a step, toppled over and hit his head on the corner of the bookshelf!!! DH grabbed him while I went to get peas as all I noticed was a red line. In the 3 seconds it took for me to get the peas and a towel Dh had watched it split and show his skull! Ambo came out... couldnt do anything so a trip to the closest ED was had! I felt sick about it for a week, but it has passed now.

Little pooh wont let me get the glue off yet to see the scar!! A bit of time and it will be a distant memory.
