Default Did you have 'baby brain'?

Not sure I agree with this research:

    http://www.mumzone.com.au/parenting/...ctually-exist/

I'm pretty sure I had a form of baby brain... but what they say about your brain growing back differently after pregnancy was interesting.

    What do you think?

I certainly did! There's a story DF loves to tell about me being halfway through making a coffee when I decided to check the mail. It ends with the mail in the fridge, the milk in the mailbox and a coffee mug we never found.

I had baby brain, and I definitely still do. I've always thought it hung around til the sleep deprivation was over. The number of times I've looked blankly at DH and not been able to think of the right word for something. Even just now I had trouble thinking of 'word' for that sentence!

    Sadly I am not kidding.

    I need my morning coffee.

Totally have it. Simple words just slip your mind. Walk out to the car with DP he has the keys and I have asked him to drive but I stand at the drivers side waiting to get in!

Hmmmmm, as for the article saying it doesn't exist - most of the time I hear baby brain used its by pregnant mums or mums of newborns, and that research was on mums with kids up to age 2! So I don't agree it disproves baby brain entirely.

    All the time.

Go to the shops with a shopping list. Cross off items, but never put them in the trolley. Either come home empty-handed or with a whole bag of stuff I didn't need to buy..

And yep - the fridge is a big baby-brain area. Cereal in the fridge. Cutlery in the fridge. Cereal boxes in the dishwasher...

Yesterday I made DS a peanut butter sandwich. Although halfway through I obviously thought I should make him ham and salad instead. So he ended up with peanut butter and a piece of lettuce. I looked at it and went, "wtf?!"

    My brain is completely screwed.

I have it now. This morning I put a dishwasher tablet in the fire instead of fire lighter ... I put cheese in freezer and constantly have to remember why I'm in a certain room etc...
