    Default strong smelling urine

The last two days DD's nappies have been quite smelly. I thought maybe she was dehydrated so I looked up on Kellymom that she should be having 5-6 cloth nappies every 24 hours.

DD sleeps in a disposable and it is sometimes saturated to the point of leaking (I think I need to start changing her at the 1am feed). I did a nappy count yesterday and she had 5 cloth - not all sopping but ready to change. I don't like overfilling them so change when they are wet about half way along the insert.

I thought maybe UTI but there are no other symptoms ie fever or apparant pain.

Any ideas as to what this could be or have you had this happen?? She seems otherwise happy and her usual self

When DD first got a UTI (she has vesicoureteral reflux) my first clue was a different smelling urine. Not strong as such, just different. Can't really describe sorry! I didn't notice any different behaviour or fever I don't think.

There are numerous things that can cause smelly urine- UTI, type 1 diabetes, dehydration, different foods..
I would take her to the doctors just to be safe but it could just be normal for your DD!!
