Default Can't help but feel guilty!

Usually if BD is sick or injured i'll immediatly inform BF.

In our orders it states serious illness or injury, but i would always text him if BD has a cold or whatever.

Well i havent heard from BF in over 8 days, and the last 4 days BD has been sick with a stomach bug and a cold.
She missed two days of school because of it, she's never had a sick day from prep before this week.

    I havent told BF.

Last time I told BF that BD was sick (because she ate washing powder, she is autistic and has pica) I copped the blame and vowed not to bother telling BF unless BD is gravely ill (hospital admission ill) or has a broken limb etc.

So why do i feel guilty? Should i feel guilty?

I should clarify that BF only see's BD 4 times a yr, during school holidays, calls her rarely and sporadicly, and didnt bother coming to BD's operations, appointments etc even when we were married.

I really wouldn't be feeling guilty about that. Like you said, you'd tell him if it was serious and he really isn't that involved in the every day things.

Although if you are feeling guilty and feel you should tell him then just casually mention it. All kids get sick and he really can't point the finger at you.

I wouldnt feel guilty either. DS had a terrible run of getting the coughs this winter, if i had to tell FOB every time he coughed i'd be talking to him every week (BLURGH!!) I only tell FOB if it is an emergency or only sometimes when i take DS to the doctor, if we've discussed it beforehand and im just keeping him in the loop.

I think i'll just wait till he calls. Its his fault if he's not in regular contact. If he wanted to be in the loop he would call.

You feel guilty because your a good person and you want him to care like you do. If he can't make the effort to be involved in her life then it's not up to you to chase him.
