Thinking of of kiwi! Glad your doctors are being so helpful. Rest up!!

Ladies, just a few quick questions... Is anyone using prednisolone from dr m?
If so how long were you or are you on it for? And has it been effective? My FS doesn't think to highly of it, so now I'm confused.

    Thank you in advance
    Cheals

Kiwi- that sounds so scary, follow your Drs. orders!

Romy- great numbers, you must be on top of the world!

Cheals- my FS was totally against the high dose pred that dr m prescribes. I got as high as 35 mg then weaned down 5mg per week from about 16 wks and now at 26 wks I'm still on 5 mg. hoping to get the all clear to stop altogether next week! I do think the combination of the pred and intralipid infusion has kept my NK cells in check.

Helen - this is my 5th and hopefully last intralipid infusion. I was about 19 wks at the last one and he thought that may be all I need, but he tests my surface markers CD 56,19,8&4 a month after each infusion and based on my most recent results he decided to do one more to be safe. Not long now til your FET, fingers crossed for you

Hi everyone else and welcome to the newbies.

Cheals - Great news on your NK levels - good luck with your upcoming transfer.

Hi to all the other ladies - maybe we need to do another time line to check in where everyone is up to???

AFM - Had the worst week.......Had a bleed at work on Tues so Dr S told me to go in for an ultra sound - Bub was ok and measured exactly 8 weeks Heartbeat @ 183. Was told to go home and bed rest for the next few days. On Weds arvo had major cramps for about 15mins had a shower and when I got out of the shower a flow of blood came dripping down my leg rang Dr M and Gwynneth told me to stay rested and she would call Dr M (she called back an hour later to tell me to stop cleaxane for 2 days and up my prednisolone for next 4 days to 45mg. Dr S advised to go in for another ultra sound on Thurs. A couple of hours after I went to the bathroom again & this large 50cent size thing dropped out of me...I swear I thought that was it...It was kidney like texture and I was just devastated. I went for my Ultra sound with Dr S yesterday and I could not believe it when I saw the bub still there heart beating as fast as ever 193 but there was blood evidently around the outside of the sack. Dr S called it a threatened miscarriage but placenta still in tack and not affected, the thing that fell out was just a clot from the bleeding. So my lil fighter continues to fight! So so so thankful and now I am on STRICT bed rest for the next week. I have also thought about canceling my trip to Thailand as I cannot get travel insurance (left it too late) but I would rather be safer than then sorry...
So scary when you get this far to just have things like this happen.
Dr M has also brought my next intralipid forward to this Sunday so hoping the magic milk will keep things strong and calm.

Kiwi - I can't believe what you have had to endure. My goodness embie is a trooper and just seeking attention So happy that all is AOK with the heartbeat. Plenty of women experience bleeding in early pregnancy hopefully it subsides soon so you can enjoy your pregnancy (well as much as to be expected, I know you won't be relaxed until bubba is in your arms!!)

Thank you for your kind words and the positive thoughts ladies.
Bella- thank you for your info on the pred, made me feel so much better about my thoughts on it. Also thank you for letting me know about Dr M, although my nk cells are low its been great to get some answers as to why this could have an impact on my 5 failed cycles. Glad to hear you are doing well and your dosages are getting lower, you must be very excited!
Hope all you ladies with your recent BFPs are resting up and doing well
Good luck today with your biopsy Crofty.

    Hi all,

this is my first visit to this wonderful forum!! So lovely to read about everyones stories and success.

After a number of miscarriages, and an IVF cycle, I saw Dr M who diagnosed high cd56 and put me on a treatment plan before my next FET. I was monitored pretty closely during my pregnancy and the amazing news is that I am now a mum to a gorgeous precious baby daughter (who just turned one a few days ago). everyday I am so thankful for our special girl.

We would like to now give our daughter a brother or sister so are planning an FET this cycle. My treatment plan is similar to before but I can't remember all the details. I would really appreciate it if you could please help me with a couple of questions -

    1) did you start clexane and dexamethasone on day one of your period?

    2) I am on three Dex a day - when do you take yours? Morning, lunch, evening?

    3) when did you have your first intrallipid treatment?

thanks for your help and I'll keep you updated on how we go.

    Welcome Sweet-lemonade

Awesome to hear you had success of Dr M's protocol so long ago!
I wish I had found him a lot earlier then we did...

I started the dexamethasone after my period finished, it was apprix 21 days before transfer. Took mine morn, lunch & dinner as had no side affects or insomnia with them. First Intralipid was a bit mixed up and was done four days before my transfer as my EC was brought forward meaning transfer brought forward but you are best to have it between 7-14 days before transfer I think.

    Good luck with everything!
