    Hello ladies

April, sending strong thoughts to your three embies. Wow your EPU seemed to some around quick.

Helen - glad your recent MRI was more positive, how frustrating that they misread the last one. Let's hope your AF arrives soon

Earthpower - I hope you are able to make a decision whether to keep fighting, would you consider surrogate eggs? Such hard decisions but glad your DH is so supportive. Thanks also for the tip about telling Dr M what you want... see below

FG - where are you at?

AFM - so after not calling me before Christmas I spoke with Dr M today about my upcoming FET. He suggested intralipid again but was very easily swayed when I said I wanted IVIG. So should get AF next week and then another trip to Sydney at the end of the month. IVIG is quite a bit more expensive!!

    Hi Ladies

Hope everyone had a good Xmas and lets hope 2013 is a lucky year for all of us. Im feeling really good about it.

Update: I had an appointment with Dr M today - wow talk about a busy man...
Anyway such good news. Those of you who followed I had been on a course of dexamethason for 6 weeks prior to the 7th Dec, then I had a hysteroscopy & biopsy to see if the dexamethason would suppress my NK activity. Well my hysteroscopy with Dr S back in Jan last year showed my CD57 levels were at 50 (extremely high)...& the results Dr M gave me today after my trial of dexamethason showed them at 3... I cannot believe the drop!
I started my jabs yesterday so here I go again full cycle with the PGD & Dr Ms plan.
Dr M has told me to commence the Dexamethason again 3 per day then after transfer I will up to 4 per day. I will be having my first ever intralipid on the 2nd Feb, EC on the 4th of Feb and Transfer on the 9th Feb if all goes well with the PGD screening...Thats the scariest part not knowing if I will end up with any that are screen "suitable"

I remember someone saying the intralipid had to be in your system for a time before it was effective. Is a week long enough????

So I to add to this, I am going to place a roll call but can I ask that everyone copy and paste & fill out your own so we know how and where everyone is up to.... Only because I would prob get it wrong...

    Kiwi - brilliant news.
April - my thoughts have been with you all holidays. A back to back is so immensely hard on both you and your body.
Scruffy - I am hoping that the IVIG will be the difference for you.

    Default High Natural Killer Cells

April - congrats on being PUPO. I have everything crossed that this is the one for you

Quick question ladies... How far ahead of transfer can IVIG be done? Need to arrange my Sydney trip and not sure if it can be done the on the Aus day holiday. Should be day one any day now and hoping to go next weekend but that may be as early as day 7... Thoughts?

    Default High Natural Killer Cells

Hi scruffy, when I needed my infusion on a long weekend they scheduled me for Friday instead of Sunday.

I see dr M next week and I think I'll be due for another infusion before the end of this month so I might see you there

April - good luck for this cycle xx

    Hi everyone else

    Hi ladies

Can I join in? I found out yesterday that I have elevated NK cells. I'm yet to see my FS or IVF nurse but I hope to know more soon. I assume there are differing degrees of elevation??

I do know that they are putting me on intralipid and that it is an IV drip...but that's about all I know. Would love some more info on what's involved with that.

Still waiting on some other test results too.

My FS is very proactive. Started all these investigations after one failed IVF round and I'm so glad he did.

Our history....no pregnancies as yet. About 6 months trying naturally and then launched investigations and did one cycle of IVF due to MFI. I have recently turned 40 so no time to waste.

    Default High Natural Killer Cells

Hi mrsErinR! Welcome. So glad you have a great FS who identified NK cells so soon!

I have had 3 Intralipid infusions so far. If you search back in this thread to post #91 I wrote about my first one in more detail. Might give you an idea of what to expect. They are usually done 1-2 weeks before ET. I then had one at 5wks and again at 11 weeks and expect at least one more around 18-20 wks. Not sure if your FS will use a similar protocol? Are you going on prednisolone too?

    Thanks Bella978, I will have a read!

I don't know exactly what my drug protocol is yet. I expect to find out next Tuesday when I meet with the IVF nurse. She did mention intralipid specifically and said there are some other medications too...so I'm guessing it may be a 'yes' to prednisolone, and or clexane, baby aspirin etc!!??

    Hi all and Welcome MrsErin!!

April - how is your TWW going? What date is your blood test?

AFM - waiting for AF Which is a pain because I can't really organise Sydney until she shows. Usually very regular but think the chemical last month has stuffed me round.

Had a mini meltdown yesterday after I had another announcement of friend who is going to lap me with two kids when we started trying for number one before her. It just reminded me how long we have been struggling and how tired I am with the fight....

Welcome MrsErinR! You are very lucky to have a proactive specialist, I like many others had to change Clinics as my Dr wouldn't change anything up even after 4 failed attempts....now I'm with Dr S at IVF Aust & he this is his specialty so along with Dr M I'm hoping I'll get some success.
FG: good luck with Prednisolone, I'm back in the dexamethasone can't actually wait until ET time...
April: congrats on being PUPO! Good luck, stay relaxed & stress free & let us know about your progress!
Scruffy:Hoping AF shows up soon for you so you can start cycling again! I know what you mean about meltdowns, it seems everyone is getting preg I know at least 15 people who are...my sister n law is due at the end of the month, they are in NZ so it's not in my face but we have been trying for what seems like a lifetime & it happened pretty much instantaneously for her. It gets to you but I just keep thinking when it happens for us it will all be worth the fight.

    Hi to everyone else!
