Earthpower - I'm so pleased to hear that you have a treatment plan with Dr. M and it's such a relief you don't have high CD57 (which are the most difficult to treat). You stand a great chance with only high CD56 which can be lowered easily with intripilids and the rest of the meds. You are well on your way to a BFP!!

    Hi Ladies,

April - I hope you are going well in the 2ww and that the hpt gets darker and darker!!

Scruffy - How did your apointment go with Dr. M?

Festivalgirl - Hope you are going well and that you get a surprise natural BFP from your cancelled cycle.

    Hi to everyone else

AFM: I've just realised that the invoice from Laverty for $60.00 wasn't for the Chicago blood tests and that it is for the TB blood test I was to have before taking Humira. This arvo I can feel AF type pain which would be consistant with when AF is due (I had OV pain 2 weeks ago). I'm so hoping like anything that I have a flow and that I can get a move on with things. Spoke to Gweneth yesterday and she I have to make an apointment with Dr. M for my Chicago BT results and script for Humira and the next one isn't until end of November!!! I asked if she could have him call me as I already have my treatment plan and the testing was just to check levels to commence before taking Humira she said she would try but I'm still waiting....

    Default High Natural Killer Cells

I just spoke with her as I'm also trying to get an appt in the next 3-4 weeks and she seems a little overwhelmed by how busy they are. Said she left the office at 10.30 last night and hasn't even had a chance to listen to phone messages today. I think she needs an assistant to cope with the new demand!!!!!

Bella - I couldn't agree more, I keep telling her she need's an assistant. Unfortunately when one goes on holiday's there's always a busy aftermath!!
I just spoke to her and she said that Dr. M is going to either give me a quick call or email me so I'm waiting for that now.

It's probably my fault for recommending him to everyone! I can always get an appt within 2 weeks, but I think she just squeezes me in. I'm seeing him for hopefully the last time (this pregnancy anyway!) in 2 weeks so there will be one less patient requesting appts!

    Default High Natural Killer Cells

Hi girls I've been reading along and finally took the plunge and booked an appt with Dr M. It feels like I've jumped on a bandwagon !
My issue is that I've had 3 transfers with high quality blasts and nothing. We did ICSI for male factor issues and from all tests i am ok.
I am about to do a final FET cycle with 2 blasts so I've scheduled Dr M for mid December in case I get pregnant (highly doubt it!)
So my dilemma is that now I am feeling a bit guilty about "cheating" on my FS (who is a lovely and very clever professor)
During my last consult he did say that he would do the immune testing before another Stim cycle and put me on dr Sacks protocol (they work from same clinic ) but I've decided to take matters into my own hands .
Did you tell your FS that you were going through Dr M?
I can feel an awkward conversation coming soon but maybe I'm thinking too much of my FS' ego 😐

Welcome Lillac I think it's always good to have a plan but hopefully you won't need your appt with Dr M and this month is the cycle for you!

As for worrying about your FS, I didn't give it a second thought. It's your body and you are the one who is going to be the most proactive about it. I couldn't get an appt with my FS for two months after my last BFN so I just emailed the clinic and told them I was seeing Dr M and I would discuss it with the FS when I saw him

AFM - Had my phone consult with the lovely Dr M yesterday. He basically said with my CD 57 cells in the uterus and sister with autoimmune issues I was definitely a candidate for his protocol. He also is going to rush all blood tests so I can do a fresh transfer this cycle
For anyone interested I also asked him if I should go gluten free and he said no. As I didn't have the coeliac serology there was no need - yay!

Anyone remember how long those initial bloods took to come back?

Big hello to everyone, I'll come back to do proper personals soon

    Default High Natural Killer Cells

Hi ladies, just wanted to drop in to say that I have had success with my treatment plan for high NK cells, I am now 14weeks, and the pregnancy is going perfectly.

To recap, my meds: clexane 40mg daily, dexamethasone .5mg x2 daily, progesterone pessaries 20mg twice daily, baby aspirin daily. I am off the progesterone, and will ween off the dexamethasone over the coming week. clexane shots will stop at 16wks.

Side effects to date: severe abdominal bloating, constipation and excessive hunger, but all manageable and worth it for the end result.

I truly hope you all get your BFP's soon, it sounds like you are all in good hands with your specialists

    Take care all xx
