Question Looking for books to read - FICTION and novels about childbirth and parenting

Kind of like this one http://www.jilldawson.co.uk/gas.html by Jill Dawson "22 stunning tales of pregnancy, birth and beyond". I haven't read it but will be looking for it in the library.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any other books (FICTION) that would be good to read?

I've also read "The Baby Group" by Rowan Coleman which was OK, and "Twelve babies on a bike" which is a memoir by Dot May Dunn (non-fiction... a midwife's memories from the 1950s).

I've got 6 weeks of leave coming up before the baby is due, and yes I'll be using that time "nesting" but would also love to have a few good novels to read.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

There is a 'one born every minute' book? It is written by the midwives from what I can understand, looks really good. You can find it on EBay?

I don't know about fiction, but two great books I have read are:
'Diary of a First Time Mum' by Nicole Hall; and
'French Children Don't Throw Food' by Pamela Druckerman.
    Enjoy your reading time.

Ha ha! My sister (living in France with her two French children) would probably disagree with the title of that last one! But it sounds interesting. Thank you for the suggestions.
