    Haha! Thanks romaverona

We're not getting ahead of ourselves and getting too excited just yet but am really pleased with how our first cycle went. If we need to do a 2nd and 3rd cycle the only difference will be that we'll opt for IVF rather than ICSI/PICSI.

    BT is on 17th Sept

    Hi Ladies,

Sorry been MIA for a few weeks.

Westie - Congrats on being PUPO!! Really hope that this is it for you. It would be great if you were successful on your first cycle. It does happen for some.

Mazipan - I hope your journey is a short one.

Peas Sew - How aer you going?

to everyone else. Hope you're all well.

AFM - AF finally arrived so started sniffing (Synarel) and jabbing (Gonal F) on Sat. I can seriously feel "something" happening in the ovary area so hopingthis is a good sign. Have scan on Sat to see number of follies so lets hope I have some good one's! I only got 2 eggs last time so hoping for a few more this time around.

    Hi ladies,

I decided to go in for a bloodtest this morning to see where everything's at as I'm 99% sure it'll be negative. I'd much rather know sooner than later so I can start planning ahead for cycle number 2.

Unfortunately this will mean back on DHEA which I have loved having a break from, but hopefully I'll have not too much longer on the stuff before we make a good quality lil'bub!

    xx

Westie - sorry that things don't seem to have worked this cycle but you have a great attitude about moving forward - you'll get your BFP it's just a matter of time.

LittleFeet - hope you're growing lots of good quality eggs in there!

peas sew - hope you made some headway with your sewing projects last weekend.

AFM - well so far DHEA has not been my wonder drug this time round. I found out on Monday that I've had no response to the maximum dosage of puregon so my current IVF cycle's been converted to IUI (essentially I'm just growing one egg as most people do during a natural cycle). I've technically only been on DHEA for just over two months so will probably try one more cycle in November before throwing up my hands and saying DHEA isn't working. Was in complete shock on Monday and absolutely crushed but have had some time to process and am now coping okay - it was just hard to take as I've always been a poor responder just never that poor a responder (seriously how can you have absolutely no response to the maximum dosage of drugs). Anyway all this still doesn't take away from the fact that I got my DS when on DHEA on IVF cycle #4, so no doubt you ladies can do it too.

Thinking of you all and hoping everyone has success very soon!

Hey HopingForMore! I can understand your surprise over just one follicle... Do they have any ideas why?

So... as expected my bloodtest (taken Thursday morning) came back with no sign of hcg. The nurse that rang me tried to tell me that there was still a slim chance that some may appear as my bloodtest wasn't sceduled until Mon 17th and it may just be too early. But after knowing early pregnancy signs for 5 goes now, and having such a low estrogen level I know that this isn't the case for me and am just looking forward to AF coming now so I can get ready for cycle number 2.

I'm now getting excited about our trip back to Sydney for Halloweeen! It doesn't sound like our suberb in Adelaide do much for it here so we're going back to Sydney to join our old neighbours and friends as that road and surrounding streets certainly make a party of it
And... an added bonus is I'm going to book in for a couple of sessions with the lovely acupuncturist that I sooo miss while we're there. I rave about her so much that DH wants to see her too just to see what all my fuss is about!

    Happy Friday everyone

sounds like a dud week by all am sorry to hear girls.. all the best with the following cycles..
sorry to hear hopingformore, that just sux.. have a break go and do something nice for yourself and all the best for the next cycle.. its horrible when you are swinging from cycle to cycle - it brings back alot of memories for me - of 7 plus years ago..

westie - hold in there, there is still time yet - never know what 3 days could bring..

as for me - this week has just been written off.. life sux.. ive had a middle ear infection all week, no sleep for its so painful and finally a doctor has referred me off to see a ENT spec. ive been put onto more medication, still on strong dose of AB, ear drops and nasal spray - the ENT spec. hoping that will help me.. my other ear is starting to feel warm, bulging feel like the other started off with.. it sux big time and im feeling irritable..
ive put myself onto olive leaf extract, horseradish garlic vit c tablets, heat packs..

on the positive note - my sewing almost finished my cousins pin cushion for her birthday, so that is happy news.. do any of you guys sew??

hope the weekend brings you happiness guys.. thinking of you..

Well i am a little confused?

I started this rnd - my first ivf on a standard dose of gonal f 150. I have low amh and now i'm at risk of OHSS so have had my doses dropped to 112.5.

My estrogen was 9500 and my egg pick up is not due til Wed 19th.

Any low amh ladies had similar experiences and did you make it to pick up?

be thinking of you tomorrow Westie - fingers cross and have fun catching up with all your friends back in sydney..

We are heading back down to sydney wed. night for an auction on our house, fingers cross it sells with a good price tag on it?? kind feels odd selling our home, but we need to so we can start building our new home.. and then back to sydney on the weekend for hubby reunion.. kind of hoping that will be enough trips to sydney for a while..

where did you use to live Westie? and do you enjoy adelaide more than sydney?
