Westie77 - For your scan on Monday, I hope that some of your other follies grow for you.

Jnet - I am so sorry that your AMH levels were not tested earlier. I was told that this was a new test, not sure how new but I know how it feels to get the devastating results. I had no,idea what AMH was, and as I have already had DS naturally it was a huge shock to get told I had such low AMH. There are some success stories on this website, hopefully you will be another, good luck on your journey, I hope it's a short one.

Button21 - I have said it on tank ther thread, I am so sorry your cycle was cancelled. I hope you get some answers from your FS and some support with the decision about donor eggs.

Kyllara - I hope IVF does work for you. Best of luck with your next cycle.

    Hi Ladies,
Had another follicle scan today and it looks like I'll have 4 that will be of 'ideal' size and possibly 3 more smaller ones that may grow up to size. Egg retrieval is sceduled for Friday sometime.
The nurse and specialist seem to think that for my situation this is a good result, but I am, as always, very cautious at feeling any sort of confidence.
If at egg retrieval we get 5 or less eggs, one good thing is we may be eliable to participate in a trial where we won't have to pay for the growth hormone drug that I was hoping to use in our 2nd cycle.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend

peas sew, thank you so much you're so sweet! Egg retrieval will be on Friday sometime, I get all the details tomorrow afternoon.
Fantastic that your surgery was a success

I'll check what the drug is this week and get back to you... it may be Saizen?... but I'll double check.

Default Have any ladies had IVF success with low AMH?

I just had an ET on saturday and as we have an egg/emby quality issue our FS has recommended saizen for our next cycle of this one doesn't work. In sayin that, we got our first frosty this time. I've been on DHEA and had a shot of Luveris.

Hi KandP, Ooh best of luck with this ET, I really hope you get a nice BFP!
Can I ask how long you were on DHEA for? And looking at the 3 cycles that you've done did your FS think the egg quality had improved between cycles 1, 2 and 3?

Westie 77- Thanks for your support. In the past I have tried naturopaths, acupuncture, kinesiology, chiropractor (chiro and acupuncture combined, strange but worth ashot. Lol), massage therapy, yoga and so on. Nothing seems to help much. But Icontinue to go to acupuncture. I’m feeling a bit better about it all. I canonly try the DHEA and see how I go. Thats great about your follies. Good luckwith egg pick up!!!!! YAY J
Button21- good luck with your appointment. Good luck withthe egg donor process. This is going to be my last cycle before we move on to eggdonor. My specialist said he has throwneverything he possibly can at us (medically) and strongly suggested we move onto egg donor. I can imagine its going to be an emotional process.
Little Feet- Thanks. My FS is very thorough so I do trustthat maybe he did test me earlier and maybe I didn’t pay attention or he didn’tmention it (as part of my emotional self preservation I try not to get toocaught up in all of the IVF details. It stresses me too much). I was just soshocked when i got the letter in the mail about such poor AMH results.
Peas sew- Thank you! That’s good about the mucus (it makesme laugh. I never thought I would be talking about or getting excited aboutthese sorts of things. Who would’ve thought. Lol!) I’m glad your surgery went well. That’s greatthat your dad could come and help out.

Overall Im feeling better about everything. Finally having a bit of sunshine in Melbourne has really helped lighten my mood.
Take care everyone and good luck with your journeys

    Hi Westie Thanks!

I've been on DHEA for almost 2 months now. I think the quality has improved slightly - last full cycle we got 9 eggs, 5 mature, 3 fertilised, 2 average embryos transferred, no frosties. This time, 14 eggs, 6 mature, all fertilised. Of those 6, 2 divided too quickly and by day 4 they'd all dropped a grade. However on day 5 3 had arrested, we had a blasty and a morula transferred and then got an email on the Monday to say that the 3rd morula had grown to blasty and was good quality so it was frozen. I am also taking CoQ10 which apparently helps with embryo quality, so who the hell knows? Im willing to throw the book at myself to try with my own eggs before i consider or plan b (donor eggs/embryo).

    All the best hon
