    Hi Westie

am so happy for you that is wonderful news that the DHEA has worked for you.. gives me bit more hope that hopefully it will boast my AMH as well ??

So what happens for you now? do you do a cycle of ivf or ttc naturally?

yes i think 19 tubes was a fraction too much blood taken, it took me a few days to start to feel normal again, i dont think the sugar drink on top help much either.. oh well, we learn from these experiences..

i got news that my friend is pregnant with bub no.2, as much as i am really happy for her, im half sitting on the chair for her too- their first is born with chromosome disorder, although their ds is progressing very well he still has a lot of big steps ahead of him.. so they are going to be very busy and i really hope that this child is all healthy.. yes i guess im a tad jealous too..but for happy for them..

had a great weekend in mudgee, only wished the weekend didnt have to end..

    Hi ladies,

Mum2OneDS, love your story, thanks so much for sharing
Any positive outcomes really help me believe, and others too I'm sure, that it may happen for us.

Button21, good luck with your cycle, I really hope you have a positive outcome. We're only planning on doing 2 cycles ourselves. The only way we would do a 3rd is if we get sooo close on the 2nd one but not quite make it.

peas sew, we're actually starting our 1st cycle tonight, ekk!
We're doing the antagonist with a starting dose of 250 units of gonal f. I'll have a scan on Thursday morning to see if anything is reacting and they'll decide then if they need to up my dose. Originally it was going to be 300 units but they've scaled it back due to my AMH retest.
Yes, fingers crossed for your friend to have a healthy baby no.2!

    xx

Thanks peas sew! 2nd evening down of injections and so far so good, will be able to give you an update after my scan on Thursday morning. Fingers crossed the gonal f wakes my 'little' follicles up!

    Default hope?

    Hi everyone.
hope you dont mind if i join your thread.
I am on my 9th cycle of IVF, always with poor folicle numbers. I have seen countless types of specialists and had endless bloodtests (just like you all im sure). Have discovered that I have Endo, precursurs for lupus (so am on plaquenil), thick blood (am on asprin). Hubby is 100% fine.

I have started DHEA and just received a letter in the mail from my FS saying that I have <1.0 AMH levels. I am in shock. despite having gone through two very different FS's, I have never heard of AMH. Should they have tested for it earlier? I just feel like its one thing after another. My chances of ever getting pregnant seem to be getting slimmer and slimmer. I am not seeing my FS til October, and just wanted to reach out for some hope. GGRRRRRR!!!!
    Thanks everyone.

Gosh Jnet you poor thing! You're having a rough time too.
I reckon yes, you should have had your AMH tested way before now. But we all have to look on the bright side now and at least you have your results and have been prescribed DHEA so fingers crossed

After being on DHEA for a few months my AMH did increase so chances are you'll have similar success. I was 1.3 in Feb 2012 and it jumped to 8.4 in Aug 2012.
Do you have a naturopath and/or acupuncturist that you could also go to for advice? I'm now seeing a brilliant lady in Adelaide who offers a variety of natural therapies including acupuncture.

Hang in there! You would have read a few posts in this thread by some lovely ladies who have been kind enough to share their successful stories so yes we do have hope

    xx

Westie 77 - Good luck with your cycle Mine got cancelled yesterday so that was our one and only chance. I have an appt to see the FS next Wednesday to discuss the option of using a donor egg. It seems that is our only choice now and I am still not quite sure how I feel about it.

Jnet - Sending all the luck in the world your way

    Hi ladies
hope you don't mind if I jump in. I can't really answer the question as I've got low AMH too and I'm still waiting to see if IVF works but I wish you all good luck.
Westie77 -would you mind telling me who you see in Adelaide for natural therapies/acupuncture. I'm in Adelaide too and am willing to try anything. I've been seeing Lea Papworth for a while and she's lovely - but not close to where I live so I'm wondering if there is someone else in Adelaide who does the same thing but is closer to me.

    Hi button21,
Oh I'm so sorry! It doesn't really seem fair when they cancel before you really get going. We may be in the same boat. I had a scan today (day 3) and they can only see 2 follicles at the moment that look likely to progress. There are another 5 (possiblilties) but they're so small so will see in another scan on Monday morning if they've made any progress.
I guess I'll know Monday morning what our status is....
