    Default Beauty products to avoid

    morning all,

just wondering what products / ingredients you need to avoid when you do get pregnant? I just want to know so that A) I can use all the old stuff up now and B) avoid buying more products from now on

There's no need to avoid any beauty products.

Some anti-dandruff products specify on the packaging not to be used during pregnancy, any acne creams with vitamin A, some people avoid salicylic (sp?) acid, aluminium deodorant...

Check on the back of products op. it's mainly vit a but there is lots of random ones that are bad during pregnancy. I think proactive is one of them

Thanks for the replies, so it will say on the pack not to use during pregnancy? Alot of my face stuff has salicylat (sp) in it so I'll use it up and won't buy anymore.

Hey! We were just talking about this the other day. Found this article which is quite detailed with ingredients to avoid. I'm going to save it in my phone for when I need to shop for beauty products next.
