    Default Passive Smoking?

I don't smoke but DP does and he thinks it's okay to smoke in the car saying having the window down makes it okay.
I hate when he does it, any advice on how to make him stop? I want to say something but it will start a fight coz he's had 2 kids before and will say 'it didn't do anything to my other 2!'.
    Ughhh

It's illegal now to smoke with children in the car! If it were me sitting next to him I would insist he put it out or pull over so I could get out. My DH smokes as well but doesn't smoke in either of our cars. I don't think it's too much to ask that they don't smoke for one car trip.

Isnt illegal to smoke in the car while kids are in the car? Ild just tell him your worries and if he tells you to get over it tell him no he has to stop. Of he continues don't let him drive the car

If he's that stupid that he will still smoke in a confined space with a pregnant woman in the car then I would just not get in. My man wouldn't stop smoking in the car with my son's car seat in the back. He never smoked with DS in the car obviously, but would have a sneaky one to and from work etc. DS rarely uses it, it's a spare, but I could smell it on the covers, I highly disapproved and removed the seat, and now we don't travel with him. It's bl00dy annoying, but he won't change so it's up to me to put my needs first.

Wow, that would be a deal breaker for me. Can't even go for a drive without having a cigarette?

Yep. Sorry. I agree. I would really really question the man I was with if his needs for nicotine came before our child's health.
