Dr. Yazdani told me something different ( exactly opposite ) ... So difficult to trust both of them....
I read good about Dr. Sterling, Dr.Warren ... I am concerned about Dr.Warren's appointment waitlist and possible ( even in thoughts ) retirement of Dr.Warren.... I think Dr.Julie Lindstrom sounds positive from other threads..... It's very disappointing to know nothing is available around Brisbane North area... Every thing is either City or south or west of city.... I am inclining more for Dr.Julie Lindstrom ... But what about delivery of baby ... I think she stopped doing obstretician practice ... Isn't she ?
    Hi rad,

Thought I'd pop in as I'm on the hunt for a new fs.. I too was wondering about dr wazza and yest made an appt with him... The earliest I could get in is 14 of December.,. Yes December..!!!!!

Now your the second person that's mentioned his retirement... That's off putting too... I love my current fs but I just don't get why I'm still not preg after 3 full rounds of ivf.

I saw glen sterling at life after 4 failed transfers on the gold coast.

He really did everything he could to get me pregnant, he is very different to any doctr I've seen. Jokes around a bit which I found made it a more relaxing experience.

Anyway he is the reason I'm a mum now so I can't fault him

I am still trying to decide between De Ambrosis and Sterling. I only have enough money for one attempt at IVF and that will be it so I need to make sure I am with the best fs. I have appt's with both but De Ambrosis isn't until Nov and I was hoping to start in October. I am so confused.
De Ambrosis has the better success rate I believe??? But I worry about his impending retirement.
    Oh I wish I had a crystal ball !!!

It is a hard decision, just make sure your 100% sure of it.. I guess you have some time to mull over it a bit longer.. Have you had the investigative tests done with Glenn?

I am hearing more and more good things of Glenn sterling, after reading not so good things of him.

What's the price difference between them??

I don't really understand all the pricing as they confuse me when I ask!
I think it is roughly the same price but depends on the hidden costs (medications etc). Unless anyone can tell me any different??
He has done all the blood tests but since my private health insurance won't kick in until next June, because I am 39 with a low AMH and single (so needing donor spem) he suggested I go straight to IVF instead of IUI as by the time I pay for all my testing IVF would prob be the better option as has a better chance of success therefore can omit most of the expensive testing (phew that was a big sentence!!)
I have no idea of costs of what scans, tests etc I would need. I think he said the scan to see if I have blocked tubes is costly.
I was originally hoping to try IUI first as it cheaper but maybe IVF be better??

Well if your private health doesn't kick in then depending on the hosp it will cost you about $1300 for EPU, unless Glenn does EPU under light sedation..

In regards to meds, what did Glenn suggest for you? Anything out of the ordinary?

If I were you I prob would go straight to ivf.. Iui has a low success rate.. But un saying that maybe u could try one iui cycle and them save a little longer for ivf?

    Here are Life Fertilitys costs:-
Fully Stimulated Cycle:- $7150 ($4634 back from medicare if reached the safety net)
    Subsequent FSC:-$7150
    Minimal Stimulated Cycle:- $4000
    FET:- $2600
    ICIS:- $770
    Planning Consultation:- $250
    Egg Collection:- $600
    Embryo Transfer:- $220

*Apparently that covers all medications during the cycle (but not the medications if you are fortunate to get pregnant)

If you don't have PHI I think you will need about an extra $1500 for hospital fees and $500 for anaesthetic costs.

Not sure about what medication I would need as I was just there for initial consultation. He did say I would have to inject something into me when I get my period. If I go ahead with him then I will find out more.
