Default Pls suggest a good IVF specialist in Brisbane North / Brisbane area

    Hi everyone,
I am RAD from Brisbane North. I tried to conceive naturally since 4 years now. First was molar pregnancy, second was ectopic on left side, third was 8 weeks miscarriage and fourth was ectopic on right side. So now IVF is the only solution. No physical issues with either my husband or me. Was with Dr.Price at Life Care and Dr.Yazdani at QFG. Very disappointing treatment / experience. I am very confused with whom to go ahead with as IVF consultant and which centre in Brisbane North. I stay and work around Redcliffe so it's very hectic to make frequent city visits every time. I have already exhausted all the leave. I need suggestions from you all about the IVF specialist who has most successful results and understand our needs.
    Thanks in advance.

I recently saw Glenn Sterling at Life as he apparently has one of the best success rates in Qld. I have heard of quite a few positive outcomes regarding him. However his attitude was a bit 'out there' and over the top! But isn't Dr Price a FS at that clinic too?? I am still a bit naive to all this and trying to do my research too.
Have you tried Dr Warren DeAmbrosis at QFG as he has an outstanding reputation? He was going to retire but has delayed that for now.
Also I have had a few people recommend Dr Julie Lindstrom ay City Fertility. Her initial consultation fee is about $100 more than anyone else but if you can't afford to see her she may be worth it.
    All the best

Thanks stormgirl73. Yup Dr. Price is also attached to Life care but I did not have good experience with him. Very cocky, does not explain properly, and most of the time on long leave and never there when you need, and no attention to details... And whatever he did or informed me after D&c ( twice) ... Dr. Yazdani told me something different ( exactly opposite ) ... So difficult to trust both of them....
I read good about Dr. Sterling, Dr.Warren ... I am concerned about Dr.Warren's appointment waitlist and possible ( even in thoughts ) retirement of Dr.Warren.... I think Dr.Julie Lindstrom sounds positive from other threads..... It's very disappointing to know nothing is available around Brisbane North area... Every thing is either City or south or west of city.... I am inclining more for Dr.Julie Lindstrom ... But what about delivery of baby ... I think she stopped doing obstretician practice ... Isn't she ?

    Hi there

I didnt go through IVF so Im not sure I can help. I just wanted to wish you a positive journey.
I had Dr Lindstrom look after me when I had a miscarriage many many years ago and she was wonderful.
I did think she was stopping the obstetrics part of her practice though (but Im not sure).

I am currently seeing Dr Ross Turner at the Wesley for my pregnancy, and even though I didnt go through IVF I have noticed signage that he is part of the Wesley/ Monash Fertility Group. I find Ross excellent for me.

So Im not sure if this is very helpful, but I just wanted to share my brief experiences and wish you all the very best for a successful outcome.

    Hugs xoxoxoxox

Dr Scott Salisbury at QFG would have to be one of the nicest people I have ever meet. So professional & explains things in detail. It's never a bother to speak to him during the day or at night after 7pm. Even on weekends. I saw Warren for a bit (but left as he hurt his back) he is great but I feel so much more comfortable with Scott. Good luck with your decision

I think from memory Julie had a about a 6 week wait list but Warren's is longer! I have an appt with him in Nov however am debating whether to stay with Glenn for that reason too (Warren's impending retirement). He is obviously going to be doing it sooner rather than later and I don't want to change FS half way through a treatment. So I am torn too.
I wish you all the best, keep us updated!

Thank you girls for your quick replies. I heard very positive about Dr.Salisburry as well. Anyone has any idea about Dr.Bruce Dunphy? he is with bubtree and Monash IVF. The Bubtree with Monash IVF has opened a full service branch at North Lakes now. I have not heard much about humor Bubtree. Anyone has any experience ? I still have to decide between - Dr. Julie Lindstrom, Dr.Glen Sterling and Dr. Bruce Dunphy .... After 2 FS change Now I hate changing FS... Wanna start IVF soon...

Glenn Sterling is cocky too, warn you now! But apparently he gets the results that is why I went to see him. He is very arrogant in his approach but I think that may be a good thing for that fact that he doesn't like failure (my assumption of the way he spoke). If that makes sense? However I am single and doing it alone so he may have different attitude if you are in there with a partner/husband. I think he just tried too hard to put me at ease!
I know nothing about Monash sorry.

Hi storm girl, I got an appointment with Julie on 3 Sept.
Hopefully it will be great. I feel I will be safe and comfortable with her.
    Let's see how it goes.
