Default Support from Student Midwife in Melbourne :)

    Hi everyone!

I’m a student midwife at ACU in Melbourne and I’m looking for pregnant women to follow through their journey of pregnancy, birth and the antenatal period. I am passionate about women being informed and having choices when it comes to their babies and their bodies! I would ask to come with you to as many antenatal and postnatal appointments as you wanted and the birth if you were comfortable with this. I can offer support including listening and discussing issues with you and researching any queries you have (I have access to university databases with all the latest research). The main purpose of this “ Continuity of Care” program is for student midwives to develop one-to-one relationships with pregnant women that extend through the entire pregnancy, birth and antenatal journey as these relationships are proven to have the best outcomes for both the woman and baby. This is a chance for you to help shape the midwives of the future by letting me know what is best for YOU! I’m looking for anyone from 12-35 weeks, so if you think you might be interested please get in touch to find out more ! Thank you

    Amanda

Are you still looking for women? Does it matter what hospital I am going to?

    Hi Gail,

I am definitely still looking for women! I am located in Ivanhoe in the north-eastern suburbs but am happy to travel 30-40 mins to your hospital. Where are you having your baby?
