Sorry I don't have an answer but my 10 month old has been doing it as well for the past few months and he only has 5 little teeth! It does sound awful so hopefully someone has an answer!

I would go to a dentist for advice.

My dad has just about ground his off until he got a mouth guard made. Slightly different I know!

My dd does it too the sound is as bad as nails on a chalk board!! It gets really bad when she is about to cut a tooth, I have a bucket of slightly moist face washers frozen in my freezer and when she starts I give her one of those to suck on, she still grinds but with the washer in her mouth she isn't rubbing away her teeth and her I can't hear her!!! The cold helps with the pain, and also brings the swelling down, if its teething related!! Once she is over the face washer she just drops it and stops grinding!!

Just a suggestion but try worming her? Teeth grinding and worms can be linked.
