See I would rather that in a babies room, something to grow into, than waste time and money on a 'nursery'.
Though I think a world theme for a nursery is awesome. You could have planes for the mobile and countries flags as a flag banner (the triangle ones). You could do framed prints of cool monuments; pyramids, Eiffel Tower, Sydney Opera House etc.
Sent from my sandwich.
My nephew has that! He is 1 and we playgames now where he points to a country and we make up stories about travelling there. His other furniture is built-in robes with mirror doors, light blue chest of draws, cream coloured cot, ensemble double bed, cream coloured book shelf for all his books and puzzles and he has a pop up blue hamper for his toys. It works well.

I LOVE it! I think 'babies' rooms are a waste of time and money, they grow up so fast!
Check out THIS! I love all things educational, eclectic and vintage! I know exactly where you are going with this and I think it's fantastic. We just bought a gorgeous vintage wooden school desk with the lift up lid for our son who is 3.5yo, a world map is next on our list![]()

I think it has the potential to look awful if you fail at decorating the rest of the room properly or it has the potential to look amazing if the room is decorated properly to compliment it.
I think most people would fail at making it look amazing tbh.
Something I'd expect to see in a study, not a kids room.
