Default 5 Weeks Pregnant - Bleeding after sexy time

    Hi Ladies

I am 5 weeks pregnant and last night DH and I had some sexy time. When I went to the loo afterwards there was quite a lot of blood in the semen that ran out of me (TMI). I had a shower and since then I have had no further bleeding or spotting. I have had no cramps at all...

On doing some research it does say that bleeding after s3x during pregnancy is normal due to how sensitive the cervix is but I am still a bit concerned.

Has anyone else experienced this and gone on to having a healthy pregnancy... should I be concerned?

Thanks for your comments in advance and sorry for the TMI above!

It happened a few times in the first trimester of both pregnancies to me. I have my beautiful 15 month old ds and am currently 23 weeks pregnant.
I have spoken to my midwife every time it 's happened and all has been fine, she said it's very normal and not to stress unless there is cramps too.

I agree with pp though, maybe hold off on sexy time until you have spoken to health care provider.

I bled all the time after sex when I was pregnant with DS. And was very concerned the first time until our midwife explained why.

With me it was a brown ish colour and there was no cramps to go with it.

My pregnancy was fine (apart from the normal hassles) and DS is a perfectly healthy baby.

But if you are worried go ask your doctor, or midwife at your next appointment just for peace of mind.
If I think I can figure things out, is that curiosity or arrogance?

Thanks for your responses ladies - it makes me feel better to know that it can be completely normal.

My first scan is at 8 weeks so have 3 weeks to wait... will keep away from the sexy time for a while and see how we go.
