I think that was Dicko to Paulini....

Oh that's right! I think it was, I get confused between those two. Another example of making an awful comment about somebody and yet the show still being successful.

ETA: just had a Google - Dicko said to Paulini that she had to shed a few pounds, Kyle said to teenage Jessica Mauboy that she had to 'lose the jelly belly'.

But they won't because ratings show that a lot of folks watch that drivel.

MissieMack I agree with you re the comments. I think for me that the one directed at the soldier was the last straw. But I do recall the quip about IVF...awful.

I love it how society can target out a strong opinionated woman (and yes *shock* *horror* she is entitled to her opinion) and burn her alive at the stake. Everyone says offensive stuff. Get over it.

    There's strong and opinionated.
And then there's downright disrespectful and stupid.

Yes, you are entitled to your opinion. No one is disputing this.
Which you would have seen had you read the entire thread.
But a right to an opinion does not give one carte blanche to be abusive.
And I think society indicated that to Yumi and Co. very clearly. Channel 10 got over it by shipping them out. Good on them.

Then Cavier you dont understand what an opinion is. You can have an opinion that is in the opinion of others stupid. But it's still *an opinion*. Which everyone is entitled to.

The only thing society has indicated to Yumi is they are mindless sheep in a patriarchal community. There's nothing more evil than a trouble making (apple offering?) woman is there?

Finally, sigh, I did read this whole thread. Another thing you are wrong about I guess?
