    Default Heartburn

Seems my nausea has turned into heartburn, what do you take for heart burn while pregnant? I had a fair bit with DS but it was controllable with milk this time milk works for about 10 minutes, but then it's 3 times as bad, now it's keeping me awake.

Apples supposedly help too. Try propping yourself up slightly and laying on your left side. Worked for me. Hope you get some relief and some sleep

You can take some of the OTC stuff like chewable tablets (I lived on them)

I use Mylanta, but my Obstetrician says that taking Ranitidine was perfectly safe if it was getting out of control.

The best thing I found was sipping organic ginger tea. Eating green apples helped too as well as snacking on food like apples or walnuts between meals.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I'd just brought a big bag of apples yesterday so will make sure I munch on them, also brought fruit tingles because they help with the nausea. So that's handy.

Apples always made my heartburn worse due to the high acidity! Ouchy! In fact most fruit sets me off. I live off Gaviscon

I heard it was only green apples that help heartburn! They are a very short term fix for me! I just started using quickeze and seriously they have saved me from feeling sick!! You can buy berry flavored ones which are like starburst!! Not sure why I waited until my third trimester to try them but nothing else had worked!!
    Good Luck!!
