DH does it all now anyway.. he taught me!
He does our taxes, is great at complicated facts and figures (so much so that other family members go to him for help with tax returns etc rather than an accountant), he usually does the grocery shop, the bills come out of both our accounts (we don't have a joint, gas out of his, water and electricity out of mine)..
He cooks all the time, we share a GP... he has access to all my banking details and I have his.

Yes, my DH would be fine.

He already manages the finances/mortgages/insurance/bills etc.

The doctor/Medicare/immunizations - he'd do it if he couldn't find someone else to do it for him (he hates lines/waiting rooms).

Parenting - might not be exactly the same as how I do it, but the girls would get by and he'd figure it out.

    Housekeeping - he'd hire a cleaner!

In all seriousness though, DH would have plenty of support both short & long term (as would I, if the scenario were reversed) from parents & friends.

I probably need to get across the banking side of things.

And god help me if I needed to make any changes to the tv/hi-fi systems!!

Medicare yes as he has had to do it for himself.

There are clothes that cant go in the dryer?

I am sure if responsibility fell to him he would learn to manage although ds would live in a much messier house.

His father is very good at matching boys clothes so ds would be dressed nice.

We talked about this a while ago, he assumed ds would go to one set of the grandparents over him as he does not hear ds at all if he is asleep (ds can scream right in his ear and he does not move) :/

There's nothing he wouldn't be able to do.

But if it were reversed then I have no idea how to maintain our techy / geeky IT run world! I've told him that I'm too reliant on great IT systems now, and that if he ever left me I'd have to advertise for another geek on Whirlpool (IT forum).

Oh, and DD might be slightly upset with her new Thomas track layouts, as I suck at that. She even asks me how to connect bridges and parts, and I say things like "Erm. Yes. This part goes - oh, that doesn't fit. Oh. Well, Daddy will be home soon. Oh look! Grandpa's at the door! Grandpa, DD wants to play trains with you!"
