PW - It's the best news to read your update. Congratulations mumma to be! You have a little Wilbur growing beautifully in your tummy Your Christmas is going to be very special this year. Nothing will bother you, and all the movies, and carols will bring happy tears to your eyes

Swede - Your news is fantastic too A natural miracle Your home is going to get very busy, and again Christmas will be wonderful Are you flying back for any holidays while you are pregnant, or will you wait until after bubba is born?

Nessie - Good luck with EPU on Friday. It's still spring, so those eggies should turn into beautiful embies to transfer. Ash is a laugh, although kicking around in bed at night can't be much fun while doing a stim cycle

'Hi' to everyone else. I'm at the 'early stage' of daytime naps and Stella always fights sleep whatever the time of day. She is super alert and I don't even drink coffee! She is a good sleeper at night when she stops fighting it (10-15mins of loud crying first), and sleeps as little as possible during the day, so I try to get her to nap wherever I am (if I'm home she naps in the bouncer etc). Yesterday she was terrible by 10am (meltdown) so I put her to bed in her bassinet and she slept for 2 hours!! I was so happy, as it allowed me to do some housework etc. and she woke up in a far happier mood. Today she started to have a meltdown at 11am so I did the same thing and put her in her bassinet. She screams when I do it, but seems to flake out after 10 minutes. It's a better quality of sleep than a 20 minute nap in her bouncer or in the car. We will see how long she does this. There is no consistency with Stella, so I use a number of techniques. Whatever works I say She turned 3 months old on Saturday and time is flying by so fast.

It's in the over 35s thread. She's just had her scan too (I'm a shocking stalker

Well one of my closest friends has just told me she's leaving her husband. They have 3 kids (the youngest only one month older than Marc). That's the 3rd marriage separation in our circle of friends in the last 4 months (including my best and oldest friend). I feel like I've just got through babies, 40ths and now we're onto divorce already

By the way JFB I forgot to wish you a happy birthday for Tuesday

Sonja - sorry about your friends. It always feels like things happen in clusters. I hope you are ok and if you are a support person got your friend, that you have enough strength for it. Sometimes it can be tough going being the "go to" person.

JFB - happy birthday for Tuesday!!!!! sorry I didn't realise, we've had birthdays and anniversaries happening this week. I hope you had a lovely day celebrating.

Millie - I recall Evie got very unsettled around this time and this was when I decided to put her in her cot and she started to sleep much better, I think she felt a bit confined in her bassinett, she liked to stretch out as the weather was starting to get pretty warm & she's a hot baby, her room gets stuffy & hot so I thought that didn't help either and she catnapped through the day until she was about 12 months when it was winter again.

BK - swede sure is pregnant! good on her

Sonja - that's no good about your friends, it's difficult to watch the process and changes that happen when it goes on especially if you're very close to them.

JFB - did you know you can get covers for ipads and iphones from Target and Big W etc? They are fisher price and save your screen and also cover the home button.

Last year for Xmas Spencer got a swing set, and I don't think much else!
This year I have a heap of pressies in the cupboard I need to work out what he will get. I have a doctor's kit that he will love. He loves giving his lamb medicine and fixing him if he feels sick. I also have multitudes of trucks and car things which he loves.

I think last year when S was 2 he got a magna doodle from someone, and a little people bus which he still plays with and loves. He also had a fisher price wheelies take along toy which was cute.

I got a blackboard/whiteboard from Ikea the other day which also holds rolls of paper which would be handy for your crafty stuff if you haven't ventured down that road yet. Cheap and handy.

My sister got S a pop up fire truck which goes over the shoulders and he steps into, so he pretends to be driving a fire truck - like being in a box I guess! It was only $12 from Target. Cheap and nasty but he loves it!!!
