alittle: still thinking about you. i know the first week or so after a m/c are so raw and waking up every day with that crushing sense of loss is just heart breaking.when its an ivf baby that youve gone to sooooo much lengths to conceive it just adds another layer of unfairness to such a tragic loss. i hope you and dh are holding up ok.

nessie: i hope your cycle is underway and all is going smoothly.

Alittle, ditto to what JFB said. To make it to 12 weeks to when you are just beginning to think you are in the safe period is heart wrenching. My thoughts are still with you too x

JFB are you able to take me through the settle to sleep method you used for H's night waking? Marc is 19 months old now and some nights can wake once but others it's still 3 times a night. DH mainly gets up to him (he's quicker than me out the door) and usually gives him a drink of milk or water) and he goes back off. He definitely doesn't need the drinks it's a habit, but DH doesn't know what else to do and if he screams he wakes Scarlett then we're both dealing with it.

I have a long drive to and from work most days that I work and I feel I'm too tired to drive some days. Any tips? Anything you can do at all would be great.

sonja: i think i still have to pdf of it somewhere...it does involve them crying (inevitably)...but u dont leave them for as long periods as CC....i know i panic when H wakes (he still gets in the habit of having a drink and we do the same thing just to save hassle...)as he wakes E as he yells and screams and kics the cot. let me see if i can find it.

Thanks everyone for all of your lovely posts. D&C done on Friday and now I just feel rather numb. Warren has me on the pill start of November and then I guess we will try again in December. Starting to think that maybe we are just foolish to think that we can produce a normal healthy embryo/bubs at our age - I'm 43 so perhaps ai am just expecting a miracle.

Alittle - as long as you have hope, and there is a chance, you are not foolish. You can only do your best and see.
I hope you take it easy and allow yourself time to heal.

alittle: im sure that if wazza thought there was no hope he would say it. and if u guys are able to keep going $$$ wise and emotionally and physically then fingers crossed that your next bfp will be the sticky one. i also beleive that u can only give up when you are ready to and it sounds like your not ready to quit. i just feel bad for you cos i know what its like to see a HB and gove yourself hope that your baby dream has finally arrived only to lose that precious baby a few weeks later....its just a horrible horrible experience. please come on here to vent if needed or stay away if needed too...
