    I always wash new clothes. My family and friends think I'm weird, but I *cannot* wear clothes that haven't been washed.

    Nope. Only baby clothes...when they were newborns. Otherwise, it's fair game and so far we've all survived.

    im really shocked that not everyone does it - i am far from anal and super clean - i hate washing, cleaning and i don't iron.

    But i just thought everyone washed everything before they wore it.

    I don't know you can put something on that hasn't been washed - liek someone else said you can practically smell the chemicals on them.

    Plus 99% of clothes are made offshore in developing countries - China can't even make save baby milk - imagine what they use to make clothes!

    Agreed! I also love the smell of new clothes, and you only get to experience that scent once!


    But I always pre-wash towels (because they don't work unless you wash them first), sheets (to make them softer) and kitchen utensils (for hygiene).
