Ringworm or eczema?

How can you tell the difference between ringworm and eczema?

My DS has spots on his bum, he had them about 7-8 weeks ago and we used cream from the chemist for about a week and half with no results and they ended up going away but I've noticed they are back again this morning when I changed his nappy. I'm not 100% convinced they are ringworm and last time the doctor wasn't either but said to use the cream just in case. DS used to get eczema when he was a newborn but it stopped once he was put on lactose free formula.

Google ringworm pictures, they are very easy to identify, is fungal so hard to get rid of. Have you tried lots of nappy free time?

Thanks MummaOJ. Just had a look at google images and it doesn't look like normal ringworm, it looks more like eczema. I'll try nappy free time tomorrow when we get home from work and daycare once the house has warmed up. I'll ty to get him in the doctors tomorrow and see what the doctor says now and hopefully get referred to a dermatologist to get more information.
