    Default Fathers Day

So Fathers Day is soon and its my fiance's first, our girl is currently 7 months and I'm stuck as what to get him for his first Fathers Day. I want something memorable, that he can keep or will remember forever. I think he'd like photos or something but thats so cliche and we already have thousands of photos of DD around the house and in his wallet. Would love to hear what you and your LO's have given Daddies for first or any Fathers Day gifts

Does he wear cufflinks? I had some done for DH with the kids initials on. He also has some nice silver ones that say NO 1 Dad.

I had DS ( who was 11 months at the time ) for DH first fathers day make his little hand print ( in non toxic finger paint!) on a art frame but I got DH to do it first the week before ( I told him to close his eyes but he knew what I was doing!) so we ended up with a great canvas of daddy's big hand next to baby's little hand with "happy 1st fathers day daddy"

i second the hand print..or foot print is easier with young ones.

We did this for DH's first fathers day. i always get the kids to make somthing for him. Last year DD made a pen holder for his desk. It was just a decorated plastic cup but he loved it and its still onhis desk filled with pens

I think anything he can have at work with him (assuming he works fulltime out of the house) is nice cos it reminds them why hes there...to provide for his family!

I splurged on DP first fathers day and brought him a watch that was engraved on the back. He wears it every day.

I always think a hand or foot print is nice.

If you are willing and able to spend a bit more money on something more permanent, what about a dog tag (I hate that name?!) with your LO's thumbprint engraved on it? Could do the same on a mens name plate bracelet..?!

He works 12 hour days in Construction but does have an office. I've been thinking a watch engraved, but hes never worn a watch or any jewellery the entire time I've known him. I was thinking of maybe a coffee mug with a photo of him and DD printed on and happy first fathers day but I'm not sure whether or not thats a wierd mug to have on a construction site! We've only recently dne hand and foot prints, we did them at birth, 6 months and are planning on doing them again at 12 months. Thanks all for the ideas!
