    FOBS,

You sound much more excited about TM. Could it be that you and your thermy are speaking terms again? I hope so!

Hubby and I are both chefs and we LOVE the custard - there is a cheats version when you don't have ingredients or are on a diet and theres a really rich real egg/cream one that is amazing. BOTH PERFECT EVERYTIME.

The 2nd one turns into icecream!
Can you please share your diet custard recipe?

OK so I'm feeling really tempted now! Obviously I wouldn't have access to their recipe books yet, but where else do you get recipes from, I'd like to have a look at some things people do with theirs.

So is the Maxi supchef ThermoFoodPro Superchef, wow what a name, kind of the same thing. It's on the good guys web site for $499, Does anyone have this one? Id be happy to buy the thermomix one if it's worth the money but just wandering if this does the same for a lot less. Oh and now have stumbled across the hotmix pro Do all you girls have the thermomix brand or the hotmix pro?

There was a bit of discussion about this a few pages back. I don't have any variety of the machine so can't comment.

I've thought about going cheaper for the time being, but when I know that ultimately ill want a TM, it doesn't seem like a sensible investment...
