Yes "our bodies our decision" such a wonderful, simple concept but once a woman or family deviates from the mainstream it's just not that simple: the decision to decline a scan offered by a GP is not always accepted or respected by the medical establishment. I saw a doctor once during my last pregnancy and was made to feel as big as an ant the whole ten minute consult.
And no I do not accept "just do what your doc tells you - they have the medical degree" - so what? The prescriptions for Thalidomide came from people with medical degrees and that didn't turn out so well. Doctors have proven time and again they do not always know best.
