Sounds to me like she was taking you for granted and not treating you as a friend. I would definitely be wary, you don't have to cut her off totally but I wouldn't be too quick to trust her again. Did you end up joining another playgroup in the end OP? Tough one, but you.need to put yourself first here I think

I would let the "friendship" die in peace. Move on, as hard as it may be.

I would be very wary of this one.

Maybe she's had a falling out with another friend or friends and has come crawling back because she has no better offers?

I think she'll be up to her old tricks in no time. She's your friend and it's your choice, but if I was in your shoes I don't think I'd be bothered trying again.

I also wouldn't be bothered with her. She is clearly a sunny day friend.

Default Would you call her a friend?

Sorry everyone, only just seen all these new replies. Well she's popped into my work a few times over the last few weeks but then I found out she had an agenda. She was trying to make me put in a good word for her because she applied for a job at my work as my supervisor! And then gave it away that her boyfriend noticed me at work and not her. She just invited me to her 21st which is Playboy theme and she wants all the girls going to wear their bra and knickers. I won't be attending.

Thanks everyone for all your replies to this thread, I will be taking everyone's advice and not continuing the friendship.

When you said she was being nice again I though "wonder what she wants..."

Better off without her. Fingers crossed she doesn't get the job!
