I'm pretty sure there's a Monty Python sketch about this sort of thing from about 40 years ago...
so it's definitely not a new trend

Nope but I will add this to the list of what is not acceptable to talk about on BH for my future reference.

I feel the same actually now. I have been here for years and years abd have been largely positive I think. But at the moment I am going through probably the hardest time of my life so have been sharing a bit because I am really struggling. . I try to still be supportive of others. Feel really stupid now.

See I don't see it in threads on forums. I see if happen in everyday life. When your discussing a problem with someone wanting some insight or advice and they reply by basically saying 'well I can go one further, beat this'. I much prefer to come onto BH and discuss my problems on here because you don't get that on here. You get people giving advice and tips not judging and saying 'well beat this one'!!!

I thought the OP was referring to irl, not on bubhub?
I have had several people irl argue with me about how their life is harder than mine because of xyz, it is really dismissive and awful.

Understand lactose intolerance is very real. As is financial hardship.

Was just being very tongue in cheek.

I find it amazing how many people are taking this personally......did I mention it was specifically on BH? Did I mention it was certain threads or members? Nope, dont think I did.

I didnt say it was something that needs to be considered when on the forum....Im just saying HAS ANYONE NOTICED that, in life, some people seem to want to argue to be the worst off.
