    I've only ever known Leila to be pronounced like Lay-la. I don't know how I'd spell it sorry. The only one I'd pronounce Leela is Leela, but I think it looks made up. I'd maybe spell it Leila, and be prepared to correct a lot of people.

    Love the name. It's actually been our list too Blue!!! I would spell it Leila.

    I would pronounce Leila as Layla. So maybe go with Leela

    Rainbow i agree it looks made up spelt leela, when DH asked for the name i immediately thought leila.....

    leila to me is layla. We were considering this name (layla, but with leila spelling)

    I think you and bubs are set for a lot of corrections with that spelling.

    I also like Leila but agree you/she will likely need to correct people.

    I work with a Leila and a Layla both pronounce their names 'Layla'.
