    Question Cant decide on Spelling

    Ok so after a month of debating girls names we FINALLY decided we want the babies name pronounced lee-la but do we spell it
    leela as it sounds
    leila
    leala
    lela

    We cant decide.

    Spell it as it sounds: "Leela"
    I would think Leila = "lay-la"
    and the others I wouldn't be sure on the right pronunciation.

    I reckon you don't (and she won't) want to have to 'explain' her name for her whole life

    I know 3 people with this name (2 adults and 1 child) and they're all spelled Leila. They've never had issues with people not knowing how to pronounce it, I'm pretty sure its the standard spelling so id go with it.
