Got a positive urine test 7 days post transfer, so excited! I'll do another tomorrow to check if the line gets darker , it's not a faint line but not as dark as the control line either so pretty confident its a positive, bt on Wednesday so hopefully all stays well until then! I hope this offers some encouragement to all the first timers out there that it can happen!

Hi everyone- hope your enjoying the long weekend! So today I had to go in for my 4th blood test and ultrasound this week and just received the good news I am scheduled for my retrevial wednesday this week! I have approx 21 follicles with about 10 being a good size apparently. I am having my trigger shot tonight at 8.30pm- it feels surreal knowing I wOnt have to jab any longer. How long does it usually take to get over the retrieval? Do u go back to work soon after? Well feels like it's finally coming to an end Now just counting on lots of healthy un-affected sperm for the retrieval!

Goldie77- good luck with your BT! Definitely gives me the feeling that it can happen! Hope you get a BFP

sahcb- I've just had my retrieval today, I'll post my details below. I had 15 good sized follicles on my first scan, then 1 or dropped off at my second scan. I'm not sure if I'll go to work tomorrow or not, just depends on how I feel in the morning. Good luck with your EPU

AFM- I'm recovering after EPU. I've pretty much slept since I got home. I didn't have the best experience, tried to insert the drip like 3 times!! Then I almost passed out after they woke me. My hubby then appeared and I felt much better. They got 5 eggs in total, there was 2 follicles deep down that they couldn't reach and that's probably why I feel a little worse on the left side! My FS guessed she would get 5 from my levels so that feels good. Have to ring back tomorrow at 2.30pm to find out how my little maybe-babies are going.

Hi ladies, just popping in really quickly to let you know results are in.......

Early pregnancy confirmed. Nice high levels & HCG 170. I've asked for follow-up blood test to make sure they're rising & ultrasound booked in for 22/10.

I can't believe it really. We have been TTC#1 for 2.5 years and this was our first IVF cycle. I know it's only early days but I can't wipe the smile off my face.

Good luck for those yet to test.

Caketin - thanks for the luck. All my lucrin injections were fine needle, so that didn't faze me. I actually prefer the fine needle to the pen as the pen is quite big and I feel like I have more control with the fine needle. The pregnyl was ok... Definitely the most painful of all injections. I could actually feel the drug enter my body which was rather painful... And gross! Lol
Glad you're EPU is over and done! Sorry it was a bit painful rest up and take care of yourself. I hope you get good news at 2.30

Goldie - congrats!!!! Good luck for tomorrows BT. So exciting!!!

Sahcb - good luck for your EPU tomorrow. I have felt fairly ill since mine and there is no way I could have gone to work the day after, I would have needed 2 days at the least, but I think I've had a mild case of OHSS. I'm lucky I'm on holidays at the moment. Yay for no more jabs and fingers crossed for good healthy sperm

Stc - congrats!!!! Your story sounds like ours, TTC for 2.5 years and this is our first IVF too. You have given me hope fingers crossed for rising levels and a great ultrasound!!!

Samarasmum - thanks for the 'roll call'. It's so nice to see it all written out. I love a good list lol

AFM... Transfer went really well. We saw our beautiful 8 cell embryo on the screen. we had 6 suitable for freezing, so we are happy with that. I just can't believe out of 30 we were left with 7. The lab people we saying the numbers generally drop by half at each stage, which is happened in our case. They said they could have frozen more, but 4 of them they didn't think would survive the thawing process, so there was no point. Fingers crossed we won't need the frostiness for a few years anyway!
Im still super bloated, but the discomfort is getting better. I'm finally ready to get up and be active which is nice. I was so over the lounge and DVDs!

Hi to anyone else I have missed

    Sorry for the me post.

I POAS and it was a BFN I am 9dp5dt or 13dpo. I don't think I have tested too soon.

I can't describe my devastation. This was our last hope and now I have to try and come to terms with the fact that I will never have another child. I can not stop crying and feel like my heart is literally broken. I know how blessed I am to have DS but that doesn't take away the pain or desire I had for number 2.

I wish you all well and hope you all get your BFP's.

Samarasmum - thank you for always updating the roll call.

Thanks for the luck raindance. You are really lucky that you have so many to freeze, from the 8 eggs they collected from me, I only ended up with just the one they transferred, I feel blessed that it actually took, just proves when they say you only need one!
