Goldie77 - good luck for EPU tomorrow!

Eleash - good on you - I'm on cycle five and I still have moments where I just can't jab (obviously I suck it up and do it but I find it so hard to do it to myself, unfortunately I absoltulety cannot handle the idea of DH inflicting the pain on me).

Hilton04 - IUI is inter-uterine insemination. Instead of having the operation to collect my eggs (or for this crap cycle my one egg), they will just be insering a catheter into my uterus to deposit DH's "washed" sperm at the time of ovulation. It's less invasive and less likely to work and obviously we won't know whether or not the egg fertilises (unless of course we're lucky enough to get a BFP) but it just didn't seem worth having an operation (no matter how minor) for one egg. There are no male factor issues for us so IUI is an option, obviously it wouldn't work for someone that needs to do ICSI. Hope all goes well with your cycle!

Samarasmum - thanks for taking care of the roll call!

    Default August/ September IVF?

    Thanks Hilton.
Re the injections: all I can say is that they really don't hurt , just try to find the fattiest bit and you will be fine. The more you freak out, the more you will be like, gees what a wuss that didn't hurt at all. That worked more me, DH had to hold me down for the first one, and he's even a nurse, then I was like oh was that it??? So it's ok to be nervous for the first one, have fun!

Well I've had my scan and bloods and just need to wait for the results to see if my estrogen levels are low enough to proceed with pick up.
Personaly I am expecting them to be over 20000 which is most likely too high. Sad but I know the first ivf is just a trial run.
Such a shame if it is cancelled I have 13 good looking follicles but I guess better than getting real sick.
I will be holding my breathe at work til I find out!

Exactly this! I was terrified jumpy the adrenaline was running then first injection I was like "well now I feel silly that was easy"

Chances my first ivf cycle had to be cancelled as my dose was too low. They really are a trial run! Good luck though I hope your levels are better than you think and things can proceed

Sorry guys keeping my distance after my chemmie in early aug but I am stalking along

Best of luck today chances - let us know how you get on. Do most people here work and if so is your workplace aware of what you are all going through? I haven't told my work but it is getting harder and harder to hide but really don't want them to know.

Allymumtobe - is that a choccie lab you have? So cute!

Hi Mimi77, I am working and only a couple of people know at work - not my bosses, I have told them I went in for a "gynae" surgery and a follow up appointment for the EPU and ET, all of my other appointments I have been really lucky and had before 8 am so i am at work on time! I agree that it is hard to keep them not guessing and I work with nurses!! Anyway good luck with your cycle, and lots of hugs to those who need them .

I had the ET today with nothing to freeze - really hoping to stay sane during the 2ww, but know that I wont!
