Hi Tam! Sorry to hear about your previous transfers :-(

It does look like we are on the same almost exact cycle! I am a week into my pill popping. Does it make you tired? Did you take the pill with your previous cycle?

Hi Mrs Mac (an everyone yes i took the pill with our first cycle- i was actually hoping that we wouldnt have to take it this time as i am nearly to the minute regular however they told me that the specialist prefers to do it that way... Honestly i kind of felt as though they were just palming me off... But i think that thats just me not feeling the love- possibly because im expecting too much im not sure if its the pills that make me feel tired or the fact that i have completely cut out caffiene

    Hi all,
We are having to go down the IVF + PGD road because I'm a carrier of balanced robertsonian translocation 14/21. ( PGD stands for Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) where they will check if any of the embies have the translocation.

I'm 31 and have a healthy 4 year old son but have had 2 miscarriages before him and 4 after him. We just found out about the translocation 2 months ago.

This is our first time doing IVF.

Our egg collection date is 28th sept!!!!!!!

I'm scared, but I can't wait and I was just wondering if anyone if anyone had any tips on diet, or things to include, avoid???

And if there are any books anyone can reccomend

Sorry for all the questions I'm just soo anxious!

    E x

Hi Eleash - i asked my FS about this as i have had so many people tell me their ideas (that they all swear by) and he basically said that there isnt anything really "proven" as such and that they can sometimes just cause unnecessary stress as there is already so much that we are thinking about. In saying that... I still tried them all (thus im sort of a skeptic- but will probably do them all again purely on the off chance that.... Just maybe some of the things ive done- obviously avoiding alcohol caffeine drugs and smoking etc. Grapefruit juice. Accupuncture. Naturopathy... I did a cycle telling people... Did another without telling anyone.... Went on a holiday with hubby during the tww.... The one thing that i absolutely CANT do that everyone keeps telling me is.... "just dont think about it".... Wtf?!?!? How do you do that? Anyways- like I said- i am skeptical... But i will still probably do the theories and any others that may get added

Tamandmarc I have only been on the pill once for IVF and that was because I couldn't start a cycle as my FSH was too high.

Eleash Good luck with the PGD. I hope you get good egg numbers. Just one tip take one day at a time.

A Big to everyone else I hope everyone is travelling well.

AFM AF arrived and I go for a BT and start 2 needles a day on Saturday.
