Default Soooo devasted right now. Had to put my dog down on fri

    Hi,
I dont even know what Im trying to achieve with this thread, but I am just sooo upset at the loss of my beautiful girl , i thought it might help me to get it out by writing it here.

She was about 15yrs old and arthritic. But it doesnt make it any less painful. I know it was the right thing to do, but I am just having sooo much trouble coping with the loss.

RIP baby girl. I hope you are happy and painfree now. YOU WILL BE MISSED EVERY DAY OF MY REMANING LIFE!!

My friend put her cat down recently. She was 17 and had cancer so was in a lot of pain. 15 years is a long time to have someone by your side.

Its never easy to say goodbye. We had to put down our Boxer last year. He was 13 (estimated as he was a rescue) and could barely move anymore. I tear up whenever I see pics of him, but have tried to make them happy tears by remembering our fun times. Im tearing up just writing this. Massive massive hugs

Pets really are part of the family, and it's a genuine grief that you feel when it's their time to go.

Hope you're okay, OP, and that you've got some lovely supportive people around you.

I'm so sorry OP I have been there. I still think of my beautiful girl often, she died 5 years ago this month. It does get easier, but in the meantime let yourself grieve and cry, cry, cry if you need to. Dogs are the most wonderful creatures and a huge part of our lives. It is losing a family member.

    RIP your baby girl xx

    I'm so sorry

I've had to euthanise four of my own dogs over the years, plus countless rescues that were too sick to go on, and it never, ever gets easy. You never forget, you never get over it.

I might be a crazy canine lady, but it doesn't matter. Pets are your family. It's losing a family member, and it hurts.

Don't worry, she'll be waiting for you on the other side, healthy, strong and free of pain. All of mine will take care of her!
