Personally, Id give him a name like Ryder or Riley or Ryan or even Richard like your DH, and then always refer to him as Rye...like a nickname but with the longer name that can be used in the future if he prefers. I think Rye, when said out loud, sounds like its short for something and I would instantly ask what its short for...but thats just me. Love your other sons names though
I love the name - went to primary school with a Rhy (dif spelling to yours) and he is the only one i have ever met. Its a really great name.
BTW - I also looooooooove Archer, have been arguing with DP because i want it on our short list for bub due tomorrow.
Yay to great boys names
Thanks Guys. Totally understand how it could sound like a nickname and not the whole name. However, I feel if I don't use the proper name of "Rye" then it loses the context of being the polish variation of Richard (his father's name). So as odd as it may be I think I will stick with Rye as the full name. I would love a longer name but I don't like any of the longer names and like that Rye means Richard. Thanks for all your input. It's definitely down as number 1 on our list right now. Just need to find a middle name that has meaning for us now....ahhhhhh it never ends!
