Only once or twice when I've been drunk and passed out without remembering to take it out.

I use a menstrual cup at night now, it's fantastic.

I second the cup. So much better than pads or tampons!

When I first got my period, my mother gave me tampons, and that was all I ever used, day or night ... until I had my first child and discovered that I had to use pads for the postpartum bleed.

I found pads repulsive and was most uncomfortable about this, but did so out of necessity.

I eventually discovered menstral cups and have not looked back. I now use menstral cups day and night ... but since I have a very heavy flow for the first couple of days, I'll take a terry flat cloth nappy to bed with me as backup in those days. (I did try pads, but am still disgusted by them, so use a terry flat instead.)
